FAQ
The energy generated by a 400W solar panel depends on many factors; Key factors are effective sun hours, system losses.
For example, if the effective sunlight hours are 4, and the conversion rate is 0.85, then the electricity generated would be:
400/1000 kW x 4 h x 0.85 = 1.36 kWh.
And this is for your reference only; the actual results vary by climate, shading, and DC/AC ratio.
The dimensions of a 400W solar panel vary depending on different brands and models.
For Jinko 400W solar panel model JKM380-400M, the dimensions are 1979 x 1002 x 40mm(77.91 x 39.45 x 1.57 inch), and the weight is 22.5kg(49.6lbs).
For Trina 400W solar panel model TSM-DE09, the dimensions are 1754 x 1096 x 30mm(69.06×43.15×1.18 inches), and the weight is 21.0kg(46.3lbs)

To know the charge time, let’s use the Formula first.
Charging Time (in hours) = Battery Capacity (in Ah) / Charging Current(in Amps);
Charging Current(in Amps) = Solar Panel Wattage (in Watts) / Battery Voltage (in Volts);
So, in an ideal condition, if you have a 24V 100ah battery and a 400W solar panel, the charging time would be:
Step 1: Charging Current = 400W / 24V = 16.66A
Step 2: Charging Time = 100Ah / 16.66A = 6 hours.
And this result is for your reference only.
